It feels like Russell Brunson is everywhere these days. He’s written articles for several magazines, he’s been on TV numerous times, and has been invited to think tanks and discussion groups to discuss his ideas. But have you noticed that he has been giving away free advice about leadership and events and people and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many videos and articles and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said recently about leadership. What’s up today, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the finest marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus on the planet. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best leader, regardless of whether you’re old or young.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, do not sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are so many ideas out there it is impossible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream has become reality.”
“The difference between success and failure is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the more they do, the better they’ll be. The issue is that most people never find out how to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What’s the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the purchase price, but it’s nothing compared to what might happen if you succeed. Maybe you have noticed that few men and women who appear to live the life they’re supposed to live always appear to fail in one way or another? That is because most of them never took the time to learn what they didn’t know.”
“The only way to get to leadership is to accept the fact that you don’t have all the answers, and then start to figure them out. If you are reluctant to change, that is the sign of a person who doesn’t need to lead.” “The first step to leadership is being able to see where you are not going and fixing that.” “A great leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he also listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to develop new ideas.”
“A good leader realizes that leaders get good results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A good leader knows that no one likes a do-it-yourself; everyone wants some assistance along the way. They recognize that it’s not enough to just know the perfect thing to do; they must have the ability to take it out.” “The best leaders aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but errors should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better chance of success if its goods or services are exceptional, well priced, and widely available.” “Your customers will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you’re cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You do not have to be perfect to be great in business; the more things you’re willing to risk, the higher your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for this, and it should be a reflection of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the features of each style, including: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and esteem. I strongly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone that has a background in business or management. This book gives a clear picture of exactly how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved tremendous success as both an executive and a trainer.
He’s written an extremely interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an excellent introduction to the subject, with solid information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly recommended.
