It seems like Russell Brunson is everywhere nowadays. He’s written articles for many magazines, he’s been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to go over his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s been giving away free advice about leadership and events and individuals and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many videos and articles and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said lately about direction. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best boss, regardless of whether you are young or old.”
“If you aren’t doing anything, stop doing nothing. Don’t go chasing every limelight available, do not sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are a lot of ideas out there it is impossible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream is now reality.”
“The difference between failure and success is the amount of work you put in. Most people seem to expect that the more they do, the better they’ll be. The problem is that most people never discover the way to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they’ll fail.”
“What is the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the price, but it’s nothing compared to what could happen if you succeed. Maybe you have noticed that few people who appear to live the life they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That’s because most of them never took the time to learn what they didn’t know.”
“The only way to get to direction is to accept the fact that you don’t have all the answers, and then begin to figure them out. If you’re unwilling to change, that’s the sign of a person who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is being able to see where you’re not going and fixing that.” “A great leader doesn’t just bark out orders; he also listens to what his people are telling him and utilizes that information to come up with new ideas.”
“A good leader understands that leaders get great results by acting decisively, by demonstrating creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A great leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everyone wants some help along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the right thing to do; they have to be able to take it out.” “The best leaders aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but errors should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better probability of success if its products or services are unique, well priced, and broadly available.” “Your customers will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you are careful about their interests and their needs.” “You do not have to be perfect to be great in business; the more things you are willing to risk, the greater your odds for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for it, and it should be an expression of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the characteristics of each style, including: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and respect. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone who has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of just how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He’s written a very interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an exceptional introduction to the subject, with good information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly suggested.
